N2N-Holyoke member, Virgenmina Perez, highlights N2N accomplishments in economic justice and health care that have impacted the lives of thousands throughout the state.
Alejandro became an active member of N2N-MA in the summer of 2010. He was looking to use his organizing experience at the local level in Lynn. After he connected with two board members and learned about N2N-MA, he took straight to the doors through our Voter Empowerment Campaign. He motivated and educated dozens of voters in the most marginalized voting precincts in Lynn.
LIke many of her fellow citizens, Mirza “Michi” Barrientos’s life was marked by the war that shattered her country in the 1980’s. Confrontations between the army and the Guatemalan guerrillas forced the closing of the center where she was studying. However, that didn’t stop her from finishing the career of her dreams and becoming a teacher.
