Board Members of Neighbor to Neighbor (N2N) Action Fund voted unanimously to endorse José Maldonado-Velez for Holyoke City Council At-Large and Gloria Caballero for School Committee (Ward 4) in our first round of endorsements.

N2N Action Fund is building democracy by putting our people — Black, brown and white people, immigrants and lifelong locals of all class backgrounds — at the center of the political process. By educating voters, developing local leadership, and electing candidates who put people and planet before profit, we are building the power to transform our government and change our world.

José Maldonado-Velez and Gloria Caballero are both members of Neighbor to Neighbor. José Maldonado-Velez currently serves on City Council and has been a champion for Holyoke renters on housing issues in the city.

N2N Action Fund burst onto the scene in 2000 by electing State Representative Jim Leary with the largest-ever margin of victory against an incumbent in Massachusetts history. The organization sent shock waves through the State House and has been organizing ever since.

The general election is on Tuesday, November 7.
