Michael Wright is a proud Springfield resident, dedicated family man, and lifelong learner whose journey has taken him across city lines, state borders, and life experiences, giving him a deep love for people and place.
Michael moved to Springfield in 1997 to complete his bachelor’s degree at Western New England College, and has since built a full and vibrant life rooted in the community. A proud father of four and soon-to-be grandfather of six, Michael brings wisdom, warmth, and resilience to all he does.
Outside of community work, Michael is a die-hard Pittsburgh Steelers fan, a passionate sports card collector, and an avid woodturner, creating beautiful pieces with patience and precision. With a heart for storytelling and connection, Michael’s lived experience fuels his commitment to justice, care, and building a better future for the next generation.
