Deputy Director

Lezlie Braxton Campbell is the Deputy Director here at Neighbor to Neighbor Massachusetts. Braxton leads our team with a dedication to building power and driving social change in our communities. His journey with N2N began over six years ago as a Springfield chapter member, where his passion and commitment quickly propelled him to member leader, board member, and later, President of the Neighbor to Neighbor Education Fund for four years.

Beyond N2N, Braxton has continued to make a lasting impact in the fight for equity and justice. His experience includes roles as Managing Partner of Community Impact at Partners in Democracy, Deputy Director at Educators for Excellence Massachusetts, and Director of Organizing Strategy at Leadership for Educational Equity MA. Before stepping into these leadership roles, he spent over three years as a middle school educator, molding the next generation of social warriors.

Braxton is also deeply engaged in political and civic life across Massachusetts. In 2021, he ran for Springfield City Council and has played key roles in multiple local and statewide campaigns. His advocacy extends even further—he currently serves as Vice Chair of the Massachusetts Commission on LGBTQ+ Youth and is an active member of state and national Democratic organizations.

A proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Braxton embodies the values of leadership, service, and justice in everything he does. We’re honored to have him at Neighbor to Neighbor.
