Yuribe Sanchez-Rijo (Yuri) is our Organizer for the Lynn Chapter at Neighbor to Neighbor. She came to us after her proving her unwavering commitment as a proud member of the Lynn community. Originally from the Dominican Republic, Yuri moved to the United States at the age of five and has been an integral part of the Lynn community since she was eight years old. Her deep-rooted connection to the city fuels her passion for community engagement and empowerment.
Yuri has been actively organizing for social and economic justice where she collaborates with local leaders and residents to drive initiatives that promote equity and inclusivity within the community.
Beyond her advocacy work, Yuri is a devoted wife of nearly 18 years and a proud mother to her daughter. She finds joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as the soothing sound of rain and spending quality time with her family. Her commitment to cultural preservation and community enrichment is also evident through her involvement with the Cultura Latina Dance Academy an organization that celebrates Latin American heritage through dance, fostering a sense of pride and unity among participants.
Yuri’s unwavering dedication to her community and her efforts to uplift and support the people of Lynn exemplify her as a true pillar of the community.
