Dálida Rocha is the Executive Director of Neighbor to Neighbor. Dálida is a proud African immigrant, mother of three and a seasoned organizer and leader. She comes to us from Renew U.S., an organization that combines deep coalition building, policy development and electoral organizing to win multi-racial, working-class governing power and enact ambitious climate justice, racial justice, and economic justice legislation in states nationwide. Prior to her role there, she served as the Massachusetts Political Director for SEIU 32BJ, the largest property service workers union in the nation. At SEIU 32BJ, Dálida convened and co-chaired the Driving Families Forward coalition to pass the Work and Family Mobility Act that allows all qualified drivers to obtain a driver’s license regardless of immigration status. Dálida also served as the Field Director for the successful Yes on 4 for Safer Roads Campaign to uphold the Work and Family Mobility Act. In January 2024, Dálida was appointed to the Massachusetts Board of Education by Governor Healey. The work of justice is not one that she takes lightly and whether it is immigration, climate, racial and/or economic justice, we can always count on Dálida’s commitment to a world where everyone has access to their basic needs. When she is not busy caring for her 3 children, Dálida is serving on boards such as Episcopal City Mission. Dálida recently joined the energy transformation Advisory Board to provide strategic direction and advice to the Office of Energy Transformation (EOT) and accelerate collaboration and cooperation among the diversity of the energy ecosystem. Dálida is from Cabo Verde.
