We are beyond excited to announce Dálida Rocha as the Executive Director of Neighbor to Neighbor! 

In January, Dálida Rocha officially began leading our organization. There’s so much to know about Dálida, but here’s a start.

Dálida is a proud African Immigrant, mother of three and a seasoned organizer and leader. 

She comes to us from Renew New England, where she led a team in deep coalition building, policy development and electoral organizing to win multi-racial, working-class governing power and enact ambitious climate justice, racial justice, and economic justice legislation in states nationwide.

Prior to her role there, she served as the Massachusetts Political Director for SEIU 32BJ, the largest property service workers union in the nation. At SEIU 32BJ, Dálida convened and co-chaired the Driving Families Forward coalition to pass the Work and Family Mobility Act that allows all qualified drivers to obtain a driver’s license regardless of immigration status. Dálida also served as the Field Director for the successful Yes on 4 for Safer Roads Campaign to uphold the Work and Family Mobility Act.

On January 19th – the same week she joined Neighbor to Neighbor – Dálida was appointed to the Massachusetts Board of Education by Governor Healey. We are proud to have Dálida as part of our team. 

Dálida brings a deep commitment to organizing and believes in the power of Neighbor to Neighbor to build a different future for Massachusetts that prioritizes our collective well-being.

We can tell you with certainty that the decision to bring Dálida on board was one of the easiest decisions we’ve made about our organization’s leadership.
