Luz Valentin is an Organizer with Neighbor to Neighbor Massachusetts in Springfield, where she focuses her work on building people power and advancing housing justice. Before joining the staff, Luz was an involved member of the Springfeild chapter and leveraged this knowledge into an experience that shaped her commitment to grassroots organizing and community leadership.
As a proud member of a Dominican immigrant family, Luz brings her lived experience and a deep dedication to uplifting the voices of those most impacted by inequity. Her work focuses on organizing alongside renters, immigrants, and working families to fight for dignity, equity, and access in their communities.
She is also passionate about building leadership and creating spaces where community members feel empowered to share their stories, take action, and win meaningful changes together. Their organizing is grounded in solidarity, respect, and the belief that collective action can transform systems and improve people’s lives.
